Peter Kimlin, Western District and Brumbies lock, has been selected in the 2009 Wallabies squad....
With the Wallabies set to play a Test match in Canberra on 13 June, here's hoping Robbie Dean's selects Kimbo for his "green and gold" debut in front of family and friends...

Training for the next 2 weeks (starting 17 March) will be held at Canberra High Ovals from 6.00pm (not 6.30pm).
Training returns to O'Connor Ovals (off Pedder St) on Tuesday 31 March at 6.00pm. |

Training commences on Tues 3 Feb at O'Connor playing fields.
Training starts at 6.30pm (not 6pm) and is on the playing fields off Macarthar ave (not Petterd st).
Training will be every Tues and Thurs through till 12 March at O'Connor. For the next 2 weeks training will be at Canberra high fields as all Government grounds are shut for a 2 week period.
From 31 March we will be back at O'Connor playing fields but switch to where we were last year (Petterd st) and training will start at 6pm. |

Wests would like to congratulate Lions lock Pete Kimlin for earning his first run-on cap with the Brumbies. Kimlin will start for the Brumbies in Friday night’s game against the Cheetahs.
After making 8 appearances off the bench, Brumbies coach Laurie Fisher sighted Pete's size, speed and impact at the breakdown as the major factor in his selection in the starting team.

Wests Rugby proudly announces its continued support of social rugby.
In order to strengthen our relationship with the Hall Rugby Club, this year Wests 5th grade will be competing in the first division second grade spot vacated by Hall 2nd Grade. This change will allow Hall to continue their campaign in first division first grade, and give Wests players the opportunity to play in a competitive competition while still enjoying the social aspects of the game.
The season kick off is just around the corner (first game is 12th of April) and all interested players, experienced or otherwise, are invited to register their interest by turning up to training, or contacting Squid on 0410570678. |

It is with great sadness that Wests Rugby Club advises the tragic death of one of our former players Dan Robinson following a tragic accident in London on Sunday night. Dan was a member of the Brumbies Academy, won a 2nd grade premiership in 2007 and won the Best Back award as well as the Best Colt Back in the club. Dan was as tough as they come. Wests Rugby pass on our sincere condolences to his family and Dan will be sorely missed.
