Expressions of Interest - 1st Grade Coach 2020

Wests Rugby is looking for Expressions of Interest for a First Grade Head Coach to take responsibility for the overall performance of the Premier Grade Program in 2020.

Expressions of interests, accompanied with a suitable rugby curriculum vitae (CV) are to be submitted to angusmckerchar@gmail.com by COB Friday 2nd of August.

 

Duties will include:

  • the design, implementation and management of the overall performance of the First Grade program

  • leading Wests’ playing and coaching philosophy by providing leadership and direction to management and players

  • making significant contributions to the culture and long term development of Wests Rugby Club

  • providing technical and tactical coaching to individual players and the team as a whole.

  • working with other Committee members and the Director of Rugby (DOR) to develop strategies across a number of areas to target specific players and support the overall increase in  the recruitment of players.

  • working with Brumbies Rugby as required to develop individual players for the betterment of ACT Rugby.

 

Our ideal candidate has:

  • 2-5 years of coaching experience at a similar high level

  • Great leadership skills

  • A proven record of working with multiple stakeholders including players, coaches and support staff

  • A genuine passion for developing players and staff alike

  • World Rugby Coaching Accreditation

About us:

The mighty force which is the Western District Rugby Union Football Club started with humble beginnings when, on the 13th March 1962, the Lyneham Rugby Union Football Club was formed.
